Why a Coalition?

One person with a voice can only do so much. Even if many people speak out, if they do it one at a time it won't carry the same impact that those voices joined together can accomplish. As a group we can make our voices heard and achieve a great deal. Working together we can make people listen which is why BtBMN wants to organize all of the individual voices out there into a powerful force to be reckoned with. Together we can accomplish great things!

Join Ban the Ban!

Smokers, non-smokers, business owners or business patrons. It doesn't matter who you are or what you do; we're here to advocate for your right to choose...

But we need to stick together because our strength has to come from our numbers. The anti-smoking, pro-ban crowd claims time and again that the "majority" of people are against smoking and want a total smoking ban... Yet, where are these people? Every single person that I talk to wants the right to choose!

So where is everybody?

So we here at BtBMN have decided that it's time to organize a Coalition of people who are sick of being nannied and bullied and want to keep their right to choose whether or not they smoke, whether or not a bar or tavern will allow smoking and whether or not you will go into a place that does allow smoking.

What does membership get me?

Membership gets you peace of mind in knowing that your voice is joining the voices of many others and will be heard on the issues. You are also joining an international community of like-minded people dedicated to the same causes that we are here in Minnesota.

• A monthly mailed newsletter with news and updates on the issues

• Get our Press Releases at the same time as the press and get important updates before everybody else does
• Individual membership gets you an exclusive access to promotional materials as they become available.
• If you're a bar or tavern owner, let us know and we'll send you a packet of information regarding the economic effects of smoking bans on your business and to be included in future small business-related updates.
• Get input into advertising campaigns and promotional materials.
• Corporate members or sponsors get signage and advertising opportunities at events, in newsletters etc.

What does membership get us at BtBMN?

First off, by becoming a member you are telling not only us, but everybody else out there that you care enough to make your voice heard. As we here at BtBMN often say, we work for you, so nothing gets us fired up more than your participation.

It also helps us help you because this stuff is expensive! Advertising costs are outrageous, and the more resources that we have, the more we can do. Not a single red cent goes into our own pockets (we're not like our competition who takes home six or seven-figure salaries) so you know your donations are going 100% into your cause.

Our latest radio advertising campaign cost us $700 for 1 month of advertising. We would like to continue advertising and promoting our cause, so please, consider a donation or membership and help us fight back against the smoking ban and the anti-smokers.

How much does membership cost?

Why don't you ask "Big Tobacco" for money?

Various pro-smoking organizations across the country have asked "Big Tobacco" for money to thwart smoking bans, but to no avail. We can only speculate why "Big Tobacco" isn't interested in helping to defeat smoking bans.

BtBMN has never attempted to solicit funding from the tobacco companies, and never will. It is outside the mission of our organization, and would seriously undercut the credibilty of our cause.

When we say we aren't pawns of "Big Tobacco", we mean it!

We know there are many individuals out there who have said, "enough is enough" with the government trying to control every aspect of our lives. Our ultimate goal is to organize all of these people to speak out against the corrupt anti-smoking organizations that have money to lobby our government, and show our legislators that we also have a voice!
